Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

1 March 2016

Real Techniques Expert Face BrushAll hail the best foundation brush! The Real Technique brush is probably one of the most affordable brushes that does exactly what you need, it almost feels like it should be high end.
I purchased this from Superdrug for a only £8.99 which to me is super cheap for a make-up brush as opposed to my Sigma brushes. So for those in search for a great alternative to a high end brand go for Real Techniques. I have been on a wild goose chase for this brush for sometime as it always seems to be sold out everywhere so if i were you id keep an eye out online if you cant find it in store easily.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Superdrug | £8.99 [HERE]

This brush is best used with liquid based products, i would not recommend for powders, i find that i need something with longer hairs to buff powder into my skin. The expert face brush is a really dense brush, with short hairs which is really helpful for buffing in liquid foundation. The bristles are super soft which allows you to really blend the product in easily. Real Techniques mention that the brush allows foundation to look 'pixel-perfect' due to the hand-cut shape of the brush. To apply my foundation i usually squirt a few drops onto my hand and then with the brush dipped into the product i dab the foundation is specific areas of my face. I then go in and blend blend blend! I do find it takes some time to buff all the product into the skin purely because it does have a small head but other than that its a great brush! This is the only brush (apart from my beauty blender) that i reach for when applying liquid foundation.

Let me know which brushes you use to apply liquid foundation. Leave any reviews you have below id love to have a read!

  2. Real Techniques are great brushes for the price. They don't last as long as some of my higher end brushes, but they are well worth the money! I usually stock up when the are buy one get one 50% off at ULTA.

    1. I found mine have lasted some time! And of course they are reasonably priced so picking up a new one isn't a great expense but i agree that higher end brushes have more of a life span as im sure my Sigma ones do, they cost a lot lol x

    1. You cant beat the Beauty Blender! But sometimes i find using a brush gives me just as good of a finish. I find it quicker to blend with a brush so usually opt for this one on my busy days! :)
