My new favourite moisturiser. Finding the right moisturiser for my skin that is affordable and does the job is like finding a needle in a hay stack. After searching high and low i finally found one that suited my skin really well. Ive always struggled finding a drugstore cream!
I had been using the Elemis Hydra Balance Day cream [review here] for some time now but unfortunately as good as it is, its a pretty expensive bugger to keep purchasing every other month. So, it was back to the drawing board and back on a search for something more affordable. When i picked this L'Oreal moisturiser up, i literally read zero reviews, or new nothing about it what so ever. It was on offer for half the price and it preached all the goodness that i wanted for my skin in one small label. So, it was literally an impulse - "lets risk it, buy it, try it and see how it goes kinda moment"!
Thankfully, it has really made my skin feel pretty good! I mean, its not a miracle cream, but finding a supermarket moisturiser has never suited me until now. The one thing i noticed the most using this cream that my skin felt super hydrated. I have oily to combination skin but i found it really balances my skin perfectly and keeps it hydrated and feeling soft all day. It also is such a lovely base for applying makeup.
L'Oreal say that in just one week you will see your pores look smaller and tightened. I did not notice this in the first week but over time there has been a reduction in the appearance. It also helps refine the skins texture and generally improve the skins quality. My skin has felt very different since using this. Id say the two key things ive noticed since using the cream is that my imperfections seem less prominent and my skin feels a lot more hydrated and balanced.
How lovely is the packaging as well, very eye-catching (i think this is one of the reasons for my impulse by) this is a 50ml tub, a little goes a long way i must say. It also smells really nice, im a sucker for moisturises with a good wiff! I have been using my first tub for almost a month now and i still have probably 3 weeks left on it! So id say on average using this day and night will last a month and a bit! It is originally £14.99 from Superdrug [here] which for me is a considerable saving from using the Elemis Hydra Balance day cream which is RRP £36! I will continue to purchase my second tub once this one has finished! Yaaay!
