Bare Minerals Tinted Gel Moisturiser

2 December 2015

I have been on a long search to find a tinted moisturiser that suits my skin. I have never worn tinted moisturiser religiously however, as my skin is feeling really good recently I thought id try the new Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel Moisturiser..
Getting used to tinted moisturiser is hard especially if you are used to wearing powder or foundation daily. The Bare Minerals tinted moisturiser is probably the only one I  have tried and tested and can safely say I will use over and over again. Although I have oily to combination skin, my first worry was that this may feel a little slippy on my skin but to my surprise its not as bad as I though. It does go a little shiny especially on my T-Zone, but to avoid looking overly shiny i always set my skin using a transparent powder so that it stays put for most of the day. The coverage of the moisturiser is a sheer-to-medium it provides light, glowing, dewy and smooth finish to the skin.

The texture of this is a gel formula which is odd as most tinted moisturisers are usually pretty creamy. However, it still does the same job! The formula of the gel moisturiser contains botanical's and mineral electrolytes which help hydrate the skin. It also contains SP30 so it is perfect to wear during the summer time when you do not want to cake make-up on and your protected at the same time.

It also contains silicone, oil, paraben and is fragrance free which is perfect for those who have over sensitive skin or prefer more natural based make-up. Bare Minerals do claim that you will find a 215% increase in your skins hydration in just one week - i am not very convinced to be honest. It has hydrated my skin to some extent but with having oily/combination skin i cant really tell the difference that much.

  1. Great post! I love the photography here. I am a huge fan of BareMineral's Complexion Rescue. I used it everyday this past summer. I have combination/dry skin so it worked perfectly without any powder on top.

  6. I like the sound of this product. I use the bare minerals powder foundation but feel something liquid based might help stop dry patches. May need to try this!

  9. I am glad to hear it is fragrance free. Many face products have floral and other scents that I care to not smell in facial products.
