John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir

23 September 2015

I have just overcome the battle of having dry and damaged hair, two years ago I cut my hair majorly short because it was so dry and the only way to get rid of it was to cut all of my locks off, although at the time I was distraught my hair has never been better..

My hair is the perfect length at the moment, not to short and not too long. I am really loving the mid length hair style at the moment, anyone with me? Although my hair is not as dry as it used to be, the ends of my hair have some dryness mainly due to styling my hair often. I also have pretty frizzy hair too.  I try very hard with my hair care regime now just so I don't go back to those dead hair days.

John Frieda is a brand that I have been using for a long time, he is always launching new/updated hair products which I love and the products are super affordable and relatively easy to get hold of from your local Boots or Superdrug. In particular I have been loving the Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Exilir, this little beauty is the perfect for those who have frizzy hair and dry hair. I have natural curly hair so im prone to frizz and dryness, I have tried and tested many frizz controlling / nourishing hair products out there and I have never been totally happy with the outcome.

The Oil Elixir has now become my best friend and my go to hair products it is enriched with Argan Oil which has distinctive nourishing properties and is very popular oil in most hair products these days it also smells divine! The oil elixir is formulated with a special blend of silicones and essential heat protection which allows it to smooth onto the hair easily whilst providing a deeply nourishing each hair.

I pump a couple of drops into the palm of my hand, warm my hands together and then push it through damp hair from the middle of my hair right to the ends, I focus on the ends more. I then tend to comb my hair through just to make sure the product is evenly spread throughout my hair before blow drying. It feels very lightweight once you dry you hair, most people would worry it would leave it greasy, it definitely sinks into the hair quickly and does not leave that greasy feeling.

I  do really like this product and will probably stick to it until i find something else better, im always wanting to try and test new hair products so if anyone knows of any hair oils, serums, masks, shampoos and conditioners particularly for curly, frizzy, dry hair please let me know :) or if you have any reviews on any good hair care products leave your links below would love to have a read <3

P.S - Really sorry that i have not been blogging so much recently, i have been extremely busy this past month with work and lots of events going on. Hope to start blogging often again for you guys!

  3. Oils are definitely hair savers! I found that switching to more natural and sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner really helped with preventing my hair from drying. :)

  4. I love hair oils, though my hair isn't a big fan of this one annoyingly, I think it might be a little too heavy x

  5. The ends of my hair are so damaged but it's slightly better since I've just got a couple inches cut off. But I definitely still need some oil to nourish my hair and this sounds amazing! Do you know if any websites sell this and ship internationally? x

  7. I've tried a similar product from the brand - I believe it was the frizz ease serum, but it's been a few years! Anyways I remember really liking it! I'll have to give this a try too as my hair tends to get really dry and frizzy too! I currently use interchange a few different products. Two of them being argan oil - which is great but can weigh your hair down if you use too much. I don't mind that though, really it just makes my wavy hair more straight, but still very soft and it doesn't leave it oily. (I only apply product to damp hair). Another product I like is the Garnier sleek & shine serum! It's also great for taming frizz!

  9. I don't think I've ever really tried John Frieda products but I tend to avoid silicones in my haircare where I can as they can be quite damaging to the hair. It sounds like this works well for you, though! :)
