I have recently been feeling smoothie happy. I love smoothies (usually only the fruity ones) my mum tends to go for the very green ones and although i do drink it sometimes i have to hold my nose and down (i will do a post on these soon) But, the more i get used to it the sooner i will like it and the sooner my body will be feeling healthy and happy! I thought id do a quick post on two smoothie recipes that are perfect for spring time, keep on reading to find out more...
Blackberry, Strawberry, Banana, Red and Black Currant Smoothie
1/2 Cup of Blackberries
1/2 Cup of Red & Black Currants
4 Spoons of Low Fat Greek Yoghurt
First add in the Blackberries, Strawberry's & Blueberries into your blender (this can be frozen or fresh). Let that blend for about a minute. Slice up the two Banana's and add into the blender along with 4 tbl spoons of Greek Yoghurt. Let this blend for another 2-3 minutes until nice and smooth.
Check the consistency - if you want this smoother then blend for a couple more minutes. If you don't add any frozen fruit to your smoothie and want this nice and chilled add in some ice cubes into the blender and blend away! Pour into a glass, sit back relax and enjoy! :)
Strawberry, Mango & Carrot Smoothie
First cut up all you fruit into small pieces this will allow it to easily blend. First add the carrots and strawberries into the blender and blend until smooth-ish.
Then go in and add your mango chunks along with your cup of coconut water. Blend together until at your desired consistency. Add ice if you want this chilled or alternatively add frozen strawberries of mangos instead of fresh :)
