Glossybox Feb 2015

1 March 2015

Today's post is on the very popular Glossybox. I have heard some really good reviews on this box of surprises and thought id check it out for myself :) So, if you are not aware of what Glossybox is, let me give you a quick overview - It is a bespoke box that comes with 5-6 luxury-sized beauty and wellness samples. These are hand picked by Glossyboxes own beauty experts and tailored to your preferences from a questionnaire you complete when you sign up! Signing up to Glossybox consists of 3 different subscription plans which are: 3, 6, or 12 month subscriptions or you can choose a monthly plan. I decided to go for the monthly plan of £10 this gives me the option to un-subscribe at any time.

I received this months box and my instant first impressions were how nicely packaged the box came it is super cute as you can see in the image above. The theme and packaging changes every month i found the box really handy to store my statement necklaces! As February is the month of lurveee this months box design defo made me feel the love ;)  I also received some free Love Hearts too.. bonus ;)

Once opening, i found 5 full sized products! I was pretty happy with what i had received and i was really excited to try everything. I will now go through each product i received and let you guys know what i think. If any of you also received Feb's 2015 box id love to hear your views :)

Product 1 - Got2b 10 in 1 All Star Hair Serum

First positive impressions of this product was that it smells great, but i have to say i was not so convinced that it would deliver 10 different styling treatments. The product claims to deliver:

Shine   Fullness    Strength    Thickness    Smoothness    Suppleness
Protection    Anti-Frizz    Anti-Humidity   Shape

Personally, after using this for 2 weeks, I don't believe it delivers each and every one of the above. But out of them all i definitely felt that my hair was nice and shiny, smooth and frizz free! Which for me is great as my hair tends to get frizzy pretty easily.  Overall, I would say this is a good product for general shine, smoothness and anti-frizz and it really does smell great the fragrance does stay in your hair, although it did not bring all of the above for me but it may work for you :) please let me know your thoughts if you have used this?

Product 2 - Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk

I was pretty happy to receive this as i was due to buy a new razor :) i love razors that have some sort of moisturising strip that helps the razor glide on your skin and makes your skin feel super soft. The Hydro Silk razor comes with a trusty water-activated bar of moisturising serum, this is infused with marine extracts and Shea butter mmmm... i love Shea butter! It mentions that the the razor leaves your skin feeling smooth for up to 2 hours. Personally, for me that is not enough so i recommend moisturising afterwards for super super super soft legs ;) Overall, id say this product is great! Does what it needs to do but lucky for me to get this in the GlossyBox as it is £9.99 retail price .... a little expensive for me to be honest.. just for a razor! So im not so sure if this is something i would pick again.

♥ Product 3 - Royal Apothic Lip Tinties

So this cute little thing is from a pretty cool and quirky brand all the way from LA. My first impressions of this was how nice the packaging was, the lip balm came in a really cute pot as you can see in the image above. I received this lip Tintie in the colour Coral :)

The product contains my oh so favourite Shea Butter as well as Grapeseed, Sweet Almond & Argan Oil! Some great moisturising properties for super soft lips! On the lips, it defo did feel moisturising and it left a really nice coral glossy tint!

♥ Product 4 - MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow - Fifty Shades

I am not much of a fan of mineral eyeshadow, as i tend to make such a mess! The MARSK mineral eyeshadow is inspired by the film Fifty Shades of Grey and is a 100% natural!!

After trying this out, i did find that the product was very pigmented which is always a bonus, the colour is really nice to. It has a nice shimmer and sparkle to it which is perfect to wear for nights out or to add to a smokey eye! If you want to go for a more intense look with mineral or any eyeshadow spray your shadow brush with some water or MAC fix plus. This beauty trick really helps bring out the colour and helps it pop to create a more intense look! Surprisingly, i do really like this product but i think i need to master the art of using mineral eyeshadow without making a mess all over my face!

The only negative about this product is that it is very pricey. This tiny little guy costs £14.49 !! .... which is a lot of money for such a small pot! I had a little snoop on their website and they do have a small range of colours along with other natural and organic products. Click here to view their website.

♥ Product 5 -  So Susan - Rose Quartet Lip & Cheek Pallet

This little guy was unfortunately my least favourite item in the Feb's box. The packaging didn't scream open/use me. It's very small, and i guess pretty good for a handbag item if you want a quick lip/cheek fix up. The colours are really nice, and very creamy but it is a very awkward little pallet to use and comes with the tiniest lip brush EVER!.You can also wear these colours on your cheeks, personally i haven't tried this on my cheeks I don't really draw to cream blushers, if this works for you let me know your thoughts on it :)

I would love to here your experiences with Glossybox leave me a comment below or send me an email! Im looking forward to my March box hopefully it has some better goodies! Don't forget to follow me below
