My Top 5 Motivation & Positivity Tips

Its here, my very first blog post, It really took me a long time to think of something to kick of my blog. Ive been feeling really motivated and energised this past week so what better than to spread the motivation  to you guys....

As mentioned in my previous post one of my key aims is to spread the love and positivity. I'm not 100% a positive person – i believe it takes a lot of time, patience and practice. And lets face it, there are always going to be challenges along the way. However, with lots of energy and focus there are many ways that you can maintain being motivated and positive through the good times and the bad. It’s easier said than done, but nothing is impossible. 

So…... Id like to share my Top 5 Tips for motivation and positivity....


1. Think about all the things in your life that you are grateful for.
This is truly the first step that gives you the boost of motivation, everyone has things in their life that they should be grateful for. From, your family to friends to having food on the table and a roof over your head, these are really important things that many people forget to be grateful for, I myself have also had times where I haven’t practised these key things that tend to seem small at a glance but are in fact huge parts of your happiness. Always keep them in mind. Everyday before you go to bed think about the things in your day that you are grateful for. It really helps believe me and really helps you sleep better at night.

2. Take up a hobbie
Hobbies are really important and can range from book clubs to water rafting. Whatever floats your boat ;) personally I think it is important to do something that you enjoy and keeps you feeling fresh and energised. For a long time, I didn’t have any hobbies that I really took seriously or even felt motivated. Over the last few months I have been scribbling down ideas and thoughts which really put me on the path of focus and that’s when I plucked up the courage and decide to write this blog – Forever You. I really enjoy helping people, and my aim is to not only focus on the pretty things but also really help people to feel happy, positive, focused, motivation, healthy and beautiful, the list can go on, in return it will help me feel motivated and positive knowing that people read my blog.  

I think it is really important to do something that enables you to express who you are through a hobbie. Some hobbies that you could take up are, going to the gym, cooking, art, blogging, photography, sports or even knitting haha there are so many things you can do in your spare time that can lift your spirits up, find out what that is, grab it, love it and enjoy it :)

3. Keep Healthy – Diet and Exercise
This is a tough one, going to the gym and having a really good diet is difficult. It sounds easy but it is not. It defiantly takes time and practice and importantly you have to set goals. There is no point going to the gym if you dont know what your doing (this was exactly what i was like in the past) but I have been going to the gym for about a year and a half, if I'm honest I haven’t used it as much as I could, or let’s say as I should. But, what I can say is that it has definitely changed my general lifestyle. Over the past few months I have really made a conscious effort to go to the gym, I especially have found that I love going to the classes and I now actually feel that I enjoy going to the gym and it has become part of my routine. I think it is really important that if you do go to the gym, go in with objectives along with a positive mind and enjoy being there otherwise it’s not going to work as much as you hoped it would. 

Keeping a good diet is also important at the same time, one of the things I do every day without fail is take my vitamin tablets and the only way I remember to do this, Is have a bunch of them on my desk at work right next to my coaster so when I have my cup of tea or glass of water at work I do not forget. Eat lots of fruit! As I'm at work Monday to Friday I alwaaaays make sure I pick up some fruit when popping to Tesco’s for my lunch. I tend to buy some oranges to last the week and keep these on my desk at work this is a good substitute for eating crisps or any other junk. Eat 3 meals a day, lots of veg! and always have breakfast!! And drink PLENTY of water, not only will this help you feel refreshed and energised it really helps push out all those nasty toxins in your body as well as helping your skin glow! Healthy is happy!!

4.Surround yourself with people that love, respect and support you.
It is super important to surround yourself with people who genuinely care for you. People who love you believe in your potential, they are there when you need them and they cheer when you've done something great. You will know exactly how that feels if you express something you have done well in and how that person responds, you will instantly know who is on your side. Even if your feeling low people who would drop anything for you are those people you must keep close to your heart always! Not only is it important to surround yourself with good people it is even more important to do your part back, spread the love, respect and support back especially to those people who need it. It will do wonders!

5. Laugh!!
Laughing is just great; there is no other way to put it. This ties in with surrounding yourself with good people. Laughing actually reduces stress and releases feel-good hormones as which is literally like an instant face lift to a sad face! If you’re feeling a bit blue, call up a friend who you know will do anything to lift you up or even stick on a funny movie. It really works believe me! One of the things that make me laugh without fail is my bunny rabbit, she is so funny and pretty crazy too not only does she makes me laugh she makes me feel soo loved!  Do you have a pet that makes you laugh hysterically? Laughing is also very contagious so if you’re laughing everyone in the same room as you will laugh! Giggles free for everyone!!
